Corsair H100i Liquid CPU Cooler Review
Corsair’s H100 has to be one of the most famous enthusiast CPU cooling systems on the planet. The Noctua NH-D14 dominates the air heatsink market while Corsair’s “liquid cooling for the masses” idea took off in popularity and dominates the liquid cooling market, with the H100 being the flagship of the Corsair Hydro Series line up. The Corsair H100 has been with us for what seems like an age, and consequently Corsair felt it is time for a refresh of this favourite. “How much difference does adding an “i” really make?” is the question we want to find the answer too.
There are some key changes to the H100i that look set to make it one of the best all in one liquid solutions on the market. The first main change comes in the form of a new cold plate and manifold design which gives improved flow and contact within the loop, this should give it a performance edge of about 4 degrees over its predecessor. Corsair have replaced the H100 tubing with newer wider and more flexible tubing that allows for greater flow and easier installation on the H100i. I cannot stress how important flexible tubing is, the rubber tubing the Corsair H100i uses is infinitely more manageable than the cheap plastic tubing we have seen on many other liquid cooling solutions.
Another key change comes with the arrival of new fans. We saw Corsair release the SP120 and AF120 fans not that long ago, the SP branded fans are designed for Static pressure and the AF branded fans are designed for airflow. The fans bundled with the H100i are SP120’s on steriods, fans designed for static pressure supporting RPMs of up to 2700 when you really need maximum cooling performance. However, the show-piece of the new Corsair H100i is the Corsair Link integration. Corsair Link allows you to manage pump speeds, fan speeds, LED colour and any other Corsair Link supported device – all in one simple piece of software. In our review we will take you on a quick tour of the Corsair Link software too.
Without any further ado, let’s begin taking a look at Corsair’s new Hydro series flagship.
But the pump is mounted “up-side down” on the Motherboard… That won’t look right in the case, when mounted.
lol you can mount it any way you wish. It depends how your case orientates the motherboard tray, some have reverse mounted motherboards. This was just for demonstration purposes, it fits the same whichever way you choose to position it.

I think after seeing that review and what it can do I’ll try fit one in my budget for next year as we know i need it for my cpu lol but would be great as well as it would future proof me. Those little touches of being able to make it how you want it, be it the colour of the LED’s or the speed of the fans really lets everyone be individual with their cooler and can bring a bit of style to their case with those who like to colour co-ordinate their cases with colour schemes (and who doesn’t ^^). For £100 or what ever it is extra over the purchase you would of made otherwise, if your overclocking it can make the difference between your processor acting like a £150 processor compared to making it perform like a more expensive one, Great review 🙂

I don’t think that you can change the actual pump speed only the divider which interprets the rpm signal from the pump which then displays a different speed (this facility is included in case you wish to use corsair link with a different pump that uses a different divider)
Im wondering if that will fit in my CoolerMaster Stacker 830 would be an excellant upgrade and mod for it and great cooling!
Not worth it they leak and are shit end of story if you want proper cooling get water cooling its the only way
They don’t leak. End of story.
If you have the 600T and want to install the fans on the top (outside), you’ll have to cut/break some of the plastic grill under the top mesh piece of your case above your fans if you want the top to close, but it’s worth it.
I really want to get one of these, great review eTeknix just makes me want to buy one more when I get the funds for a build! 🙂

It’s a delta temperature. Therefore if we run it at 24 degrees ambient, and it’s 6 degrees, that means it’s running at 30 degrees. It’s easier to compare in your own environment then.
