[Rumour] AMD0 “Baeca” 25nm CPU Leaked
I can’t stress the word rumour enough on this one, there are many people telling lies in the tech world and it can often take a while to uncover the full truth, although this story does sound a bit too incredible to pass up and it’s not completely unbelievable either, Chiphell has pulled up some early info many times in the past, so there is good reason to suspect the same is true today.
The Chiphell forums turned up details on a new AMD CPU called Baeca. The Phenom IV X12 170 processor is built around a 25nm process, features a whopping 12 cores and a 6GHz base clock speed, all within a 75w TDP package, backed up with 23MB of L3 cache.
The hardware also features new instruction sets 3DNow(+), AMD-V and AMD-IV. Of course this new hardware needs other new hardware to operate and it is said that it was running on an AM4 motherboard from ASUS.
Rumour is a wonderful thing and it will be interesting to see if AMD really do pull out a 12 core 6GHz chip in the near future. Of course that may sound like a competitive option right now, but Intel will also have Broadwell and Skylake hardware over the same time period.
Thank you WCCFTech for providing us with this information.

Seems a bit tooooo good to be true.
It will be nice if AMD puts out a very competitive chip. its been a while.Intel needs to be put off balance because they’re getting to comfortable at the top
Obviously fake. There’s no one with a 25nm process and too much stuff that makes no sense.
You realize Ivy Bridge and Haswell are 22nm which is more impressive, so 25nm isn’t an impossibility for AMD.
Next year or 2015 should be Intel’s first 14 or 13nm chip.
A 25nm process for processors doesn’t exist. Feel free to check GlobalFoundries’ or the Common Platform Alliance’s process node roadmap – you won’t find anything about 25nm.
i wish this was real. it’s obviously not, nonetheless i wish it was real.
