When it comes to air CPU coolers these days you’ll be hard pressed to find something that isn’t a copper block, with a stack of aluminium fins dumped on top and a couple of fans shoved on for good measure.Vapor chamber technology certainly isn’t new, but it is something new when it comes to being present on CPU coolers. The Cooler Master TPC 812 may just look like another standard tower cooler that you have seen all too many times before under hundreds of different brand names but once you take a closer look you can see the Vapor Chamber block in the center of the CPU cooler which brings something revolutionary to the CPU cooler market.
“The cooler uses a copper in direct contact base, at which the six heat pipes converge at the lowest level. Above it, is a vapor-chamber plate. From this place, two thin, broad columns arise, passing through the central portion of the aluminum fin stack. The heatsink is ventilated by a 120 mm fan. With its design innovation, the TPC 812 can handle thermal loads of up to 240W. The TPC 812 from Cooler Master will be priced around the $100 mark, and will be competitive with entry-level closed-loop liquid coolers. “
