GELID Launches Slim Silence CPU Cooler for AM1

Just because you have a low-power AMD AM1 CPU doesn’t mean you don’t want it to be properly cooled, especially if it’s built into a tight space like 1U rack enclosure. GELID Solutions has the solution for this with their new low-profile Slim Silent AM1 CPU cooler.

The Slim Silence AM1 cooler comes with a silent 70mm ball-bearing fan that provides a high airflow and has an intelligent PWM controller which only provides the additional air flow when it is really necessary. It measures just 26mm in height, which in return makes it perfect for any slim chassis with limited space.

Sound isn’t usually a thing people worry about when building rack computers, but since this cooler is just as suited for tiny SFF cases it would be great if it wasn’t too loud. And it isn’t thanks to the PWM fan. The sound levels are rated between 15 and 27.7 dBa depending on spinning speed.

“If you are looking for an AM1 aftermarket cooler we have it with PWM too“, said Gebhard Scherrer Sales Director of GELID Solutions Ltd.

The Slim Silent AM1 CPU cooler comes backed by a five-year warranty and is really cheap at that. If you built a budget system on an AM1 platform, you don’t want to blow the build budget out of proportions with a pricy aftermarket cooler. The new Slim Silent AM1 cooler is available now and has an MSRP of just $11.00 in the US and €8.65 in Europe.
