Massive Overhaul Mod ‘GMDX’ for Original Deus Ex Gets Release Date

DeusExLogo

Deus Ex is one of the definitive PC games in all PC gaming history. Released in 2000 the game has a continued fan-base and has seen numerous tweaks and mods, as well as a couple of new games that have kept the Deus Ex spirit alive and kicking, but this latest mod looks set to blow every other Deus Ex mod into oblivion.

“GMDX is an award-winning large-scale modification for the 2000 PC classic Deus Ex. GMDX addresses the many flaws of the game, polishes it to a very high standard, and adds new layers of depth that one would have hoped to see in a sequel. GMDX is executed with the strict parameter of staying true to the original design principles that define Deus Ex, and seeks to improve all aspects of design excluding the plot and soundtrack. The cumulative result thus far is said to be, and aims to be the “definitive Deus Ex experience”.”

GMDX V8.0 is set to be released on December 7th, 2015. Artificial intelligence has been significantly improved, tweaking everything from how enemies respond to sights and sounds, pathfinding and more. Player-controlled mechanics, sim systems, effects, physics, item interactions and more are all tweaked to increase immersion, without impacting on the original look and feel of the game.

Stay tuned on the official mod website too, as there are more features set to be revealed very soon.
