MSI Tease Their Next-Gen GTX 980 / 970 Gaming Twin Frozr V
Rumors have been kicking around all week that Nvidia will be jumping straight from their GeForce GTX 7xx series right over to GTX 9xx, why exactly they’re doing this remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain, a new wave of cards is rapidly approaching and MSI have already started to tease their new hardware.
The teaser was posted on Facebook stating “Exciting times! Next-gen GPUs are upon us and soon you can see all the details of our new Twin Frozr V Thermal Design! Here’s a first sneak peak at the design. #MSI #GamingStartsHere”
This fits in nicely with the prototypes that were on display at Computex, where MSI teased their new Twin Frozr V cooler. Now all we have to do is wait for Nvidia to blow the covers off their new GPU hardware and we can see what lurks underneath that stunning MSI GPU model.

Wait, so rumors are there will be no desktop 800 series?
Nope, but don’t fret, nVidia has done this before. I don’t remember them bringing out a 300 series desktop SKU.
Oh yeah, that’s right, I wonder why though.
Just a boring old twin fan, multiple heat pipe design we’ve all seen a million times before… Now if it were a custom water loop with a 480mm rad then it could give us a clue as to the power and performance of nVidia’s next gen GPU.
