Acer has leaked information about the upcoming Iconia A200 tablet through a promotional video. Since the tablet will be running Tegra 2 not Tegra 3 it should be a lot more affordable for the consumer market. It packs a healthy 10-inch 1280×800 display which should give very good HD playback and light gaming capabilities. In terms of connectivity you get an micro SD card slot for additional storage, Bluetooth 2.0 and a USB port. There appears to be no 3G on offer so these tablets will be Wi-Fi only.
The OS it will use is also unclear, Acer haven’t stated whether it will use Android Honeycomb or Android Ice Cream Sandwich (which is Android 4.0 while Honeycomb is currently at 3.2). No official pricing yet but we know this is going to be a budget orientated tablet so the £250/$350 price bracket seems close to the market.
