Corsair present new additions to their CPU cooler lineup

After their successful closed liquid cooling solutions for enthusiasts, Corsair are now targeting the entry-level market as well as the enthusiasts once more with two new CPU coolers: the Hydro Series H40 and the Hydro Series H70 CORE.

Starting with the smaller one, the Hydro Series H40 is design and named for the entry level, with the H40 being the smallest number on their lineup, it has the same principles as most of the other products in the series.

Featuring a self contained closed loop pre-filled right out of the box, it never need refilling and has tubing designed to prevent liquid loss and evaporation. The aluminium coldplate and radiator will provide the cooling necessary to your needs, as well as the 120mm fan included with rotations of up to 2,000 RPM. The CPU mounting brackets support most of today’s standard from Intel and AMD (AMD AM2, AMD AM3, AMD FM1, Intel LGA 1155, Intel LGA 1156, Intel LGA 1366, Intel LGA 2011, Intel LGA 775).

The H40 presents both performance and low cost, at price of $59, it may not be the cheapest, but it sure is good competition for the closed liquid cooling solutions around today.

The bigger version is sort of an updated version of the H70 but is more directed toward enthusiast.

Featuring the same self contained closed loop pre-filled system, differencing it from the H40 is the copper coldplate, while the radiator stays aluminum and is sold without a fan, thus allowing the user to select their own airflow solution, and unlike the H40, it does support push-pull configuration. As for the mounting brackets, they are the same as the H40. In addition to all this, the H70 also features a wider 38mm double thick radiator, adding to more performance in cooling.

Aimed at the higher market, the Hydro Series H70 CORE will set you back $89.

Both will be available from authorized retailer and e-tailers at their respective prices some time in October.
