PQI introduces a new capless flash drive

PQI, a company based in Taiwan whose name stands for Power Quotient International, has recently announced a new flash drive designed to be compact and sleek; the i817L.
The interesting feature on this particular drive is the capless design that not only makes it more compact but is also equipped with a spring-like mechanism, so that when disconnected from a PC or Mac, the USB connector slides back inside the casing.
Through the use of chip-on-board technology, the i817L is waterproof, dustproof and shock resistant (from most chocks at least). It’s available in three colours – spray white, ocean blue and coral pink – and measures only 48.63 x 13.4 x 5.6 mm (LxWxH).
Backed up by a three warranty, it’s comes in four capacities, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB, and makes use of a USB 2.0 interface.
Pricing and availability details haven’t been released yet.
