Recently the world leading manufacturer of PC component known as Sapphire has presented a new addition to their expanding product line, the Vid-2X.
The Vid-2X is a stand-alone unit that gives anybody with a computer, whether desktop or laptop, to extend their work space onto two Full HD monitors.
This new product is the only truly plug-and-play monitor expansion device. Offering three different connectivity features between Thunderbolt, DisplayPort and DualLink-DVI, it is divided into two models (DisplayPort/Thunderbolt compatible and DualLink-DVI input).
Setting it up is a real child’s play, just plug in two monitors for the output, your original source for input and a USB cable for power. You’re then able to enjoy a full 3840×1080 resolution. Working both in expansion and in mirror mode, it can easily become a great tool for learning environments or even for business presentations.
Some unique designs from Sapphire include configuration switches for display modes and bezel compensation as well as an on board display that provides instant information on configuration and status of connections.
Being completely independent from the hardware and operating system it will work with most of the operating systems including Windows, Linux and OS-X.
Priced at $179, the Sapphire Vid-2X becomes the most affordable and easy way to expand your work and save time without the need to buy an entirely new system that support multiple display setups.
