Nexus 10 “Refresh” Will Be Made By ASUS

According to rumours emerging from Geek.com the refresh of Google’s Nexus 10 tablet will be made by ASUS, meaning Google are ditching Samsung who made the current, and first, Nexus 10. The rumour suggests that Samsung are being axed in favour of Google and ASUS working more closely together. ASUS are already producing the second generation Nexus 7, after such high successes with the first revision. Now Google wants ASUS to provide some of that tablet-making prowess to a refreshed Nexus 10.
As far as specifications of the refreshed Nexus 10 go, no one really knows much. We can of course assume the display will be at least 2560 by 1600, though improving on that in the short term could be quite tough as its already a very high resolution display with 299 PPI. Internally we’ll probably see a high performance Qualcomm chip like the Snapdragon 800 and possibly increased RAM provision up from the current 2GB.
