Nintendo has unveiled a new console, but it isn’t the NX. Instead, the Japanese company has revealed a redux of the hardware that launched its entry into home gaming. Behold, the Mini NES!
The Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System is a tiny USB-powered version of the original 1980s console – petite enough to fit in the palm of your hand – which comes with thirty inbuilt classic games and one replica NES controller, which is also compatible with the Wii and Wii U to play applicable Virtual Console games. Wii U Classic Controller or Wii Classic Controller Pro are reverse-compatible with the Mini NES, while the NES Classic Controller will go on sale separately.
The thirty free games included are:
- Balloon Fight
- Bubble Bobble
- Castlevania
- Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest
- Donkey Kong
- Donkey Kong Jr.
- Double Dragon 2: The Revenge
- Mario
- Excitebike
