Putin Says Snowden Can Have Asylum If He Stops “Damaging” America

Fresh reports from RT.com state that Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden political asylum, but on the condition that:
“he must stop his work aimed at damaging our American partners. As odd as it may sound from me.”
Furthermore Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that:
“Snowden did ask to stay in Russia. However, when he found out Russia’s position on the matter and the associated conditions he decided not to stay in Russia.”
Russia seems like another nation that isn’t really interested in getting involved and their Kremlin spokesperson went on to state that they:
“have never collaborated with Snowden.”
If all else fails for Edward Snowden he may be able to stay in Russia but if WikiLeaks has managed to get ahold of the information then it is sure to continue publishing it jeopardising Snowden’s claim for asylum in Russia. Edward Snowden is still yet to officially cross the Russian border as he remains in the transit zone at Sheremetyevo airport.
