Resident Evil 7 Brings 4K and HDR Support on PC

Resident Evil 7 is shaping up quite nicely, and while we’ve already heard reports that the game will feature dynamic 4K and HDR support on the PlayStation 4 Pro, reports are now rolling in that the PC version of the game will also support Native 4K resolutions, as well as HDR support. HDR monitors aren’t exactly common for PC gaming right now, but with 4K HDR TVs in a growing number of homes, there’s plenty of opportunities to give it a go.

Now for the bad news, it seems that Capcom has confirmed the game will be sold on the Microsoft Windows Store, which still sucks pretty bad, but hopefully we’ll also see a Steam release. While Windows Store is in need of some improvements, there is a silver lining, as the game supports cross-save via PlayAnywhere, although not cross-buy support. This does mean that is you own both Xbox and PC versions, you can pick up where you left off on either.

Resident Evil 7 hits the PC, PlayStation 4 and PSVR, as well as Xbox One on January 24th 2017.
