Thrustmaster T500 RS Racing Wheel + Ferrari F1 Wheel Attachment PS3/PC Review

Out of the box we get our first proper look at the GT wheel, which on first impressions looks and feels fantastic. With a full 360 degree rubber grip covering the full size steering wheel, the Playstation branded face buttons as well as the PSHome button, an 8 way D-Pad, with the two large gear shifters finished in chrome sitting behind the wheel.
Down on the bottom left of the bass you can see there is a mode switch and above that an LED light to indicate if the mode switch is enabled, this switch allows the wheel to switch to compatibility mode, where it will simulate the controls of a standard analogue pad for backwards compatibility with games that don’t directly support this wheel, not a feature I had to use, but a very welcome addition non the less.
The pedal unit is huge, at least compared to your standard set of 2 pedals that most commonly come with a steering wheel setup, but this being a premium product, you’ll find a fully adjustable set of 3 pedals. With real foot-plates attached you can quite literally go into any car customisation shop and buy a new set that are to your liking and bolt them on much in the same way you can in most cars.
While the pedals come mounted in an upright position it is also possible to invert the whole unit, turn the pedals around and have them mounted on the back plate in a style more similar to F1, dependant on your prefference, it is also possible to adjust the position, high, width and strength of the pedals to your liking.
