With just under half a month to go, all sorts of leaks for AMD’s new Polaris 10 RX 480 graphics card have started popping up near daily. After some leaks for the custom Sapphire Nitro card, we are now getting our first glimpse at some reference models. This comes after the benchmark leaks earlier in the week.

AMD RX 480 PowerColor

The cards that have popped up today are all reference models from 3 AMD partners. XFX, Sapphire and Powercolor all look like they have their own version of the reference card ready to go. While all using the same AMD cooler, the XFX does feature a full backplate unlike the other two. It also comes in with a potentially slight clock speed advantage at arrround 1288 MHz. This is a bit higher than the expected 1266 MHz for stock RX 480 clocks. From earlier reports, the Sapphire model may yet feature a backplate but only a partial one for where the PCB is exposed.

In a sign of the different dynamics between AMD and Nvidia, the red team has allowed thier partners to place their logo on the fan hub. While a small sign, Nvidia on the other hand limits what partners have been able to change on thier reference Founders Edition models. With cards out now, hopefully we’ll get some more leaks for AMD’s new card to see how it stacks up.
