There’s a lot of amazing new PC cases here at Computex 2024, but few got our attention quite like the new Invader X PRO BTF! In fact, I’ve long been a fan of XPG cases, and felt they’re a little under represented here in the UK, despite being some of the best value premium cases on the market here.

What really sells this case is what they call the “Ocean View” design, which is three sides of tempered glass, but this is created with just two pieces of glass. The top and side panel is a single piece that is curved at the top edge, and then there’s a front panel window that uses a pillarless design, giving you uncompromising views of the case interior.

If that’s not enough, it’s also BTF motherboard compatible for flawless cable routing, will handle up to an E-ATX motherboard, will fit up to 11 x 120mm fans, and graphics cards of up to 460mm in length.

The case looks amazing, but it’s taken to yet another extreme with a 5″ colour LCD display on the left side, allowing for even more amazing customisation options.

For something a bit more “standard” for mid-tower PC gamers, there’s the STARKER AIR BTF, which again supports rear connector motherboard designs, features a really unique front panel design, 10 x 120mm fans, dual 360mm radiators, and GPUs of up to 390mm.

Of course, the big attention grabber appears to be their upcoming handheld. While some other brands are using OEM handhelds and putting their name on it (nothing wrong with that, of course, lots of brands do this daily). However, XPG are doing their own in house product, and these early prototypes allowed the press and public to get hands on and give them vital feedback before pushing this to becoming a final product.

The ergonomics feel great, and the unit is surprisingly lightweight too, only being larger on the sides to give it a more natural grip. Even then, they include this unique adjustable screen design to ensure you can get a great viewing angle if you’re sitting or lying down while playing it.

They had it running games on a PC monitor via Type-C cable and in handheld mode, and so far, it’s coming along great.

While the specs of the XPG Nia may not be final, since they aim to release in 2025, it features LPDDR5 memory, and at least for now, it’ll be the first to market with user upgradable memory. There’s the Ryzen 7040 APU, Windows 11, and they’re expecting prices of $500-600.
