Intel is expecteded to release the 4th generation Core processors codenamed “Haswell” with a 22 nm process and Intel HD 4000 Series graphics. The new Haswell processors will continue with the name “Ivy Bridge” but they will come with the new socket LGA1150.
Processors are divided into categories: “Low” and “High” voltage with the low voltage processors coming in between 2GHz to 3.10GHz with a TDP as low as 35 watts and up to 65 watts, whereas “standard voltage” processors start from 3.0GHz all the way up to 3.50GHz with all of them coming with a TDP of 84 watts.
The first wave of processors to be released are the i7-4770K, i7- 4770, I5- 4670k, i5- 4670, i5- 4670 under the standard voltage category and 35W TDP processors i5 4765T and 4570T, 45 W TDP i7-4770T, i5- 4670T, 65 W i7-4770S, i5-4670S, i5-4570S and i5-4430S under the low voltage category are said to be released.
