The final NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti variant with 16GB of VRAM has recently had embargo documents leaked giving us the likely release date of the card
The embargo documents were revealed by MEGAsizeGPU, (via VideoCardz) who is often known for reliable leaks and information surrounding graphics cards. The leak doesn’t give us any information on review embargos but does give us the on-shelf release date of July 18th giving us almost 2 weeks before the 4060 series is all out in the open, a dramatic juxtaposition to AMD’s current 7000 series lineup.
The RTX 4060 Ti is almost identical to the 8GB variant with 4352 Cores, a 2.5GHz boost clock and 160W TDP but does instead use an AD106-351 GPU as opposed to AD106-350. The key and obvious change is the inclusion of 16GB of GDDR6, doubling the VRAM of the original card and meeting the demands of the VRAM-complaining crowd. Unfortunately doubling the VRAM has also increased the price of the card by $100 bringing it up to $499 which is not very appealing at all.
We’ll have to wait and see how much 16GB makes a difference with the card once it releases. Following it’s release we’ll be waiting on AMD to make another move as well as the final RTX 4050 which judging by the 4060, is probably actually a 4040.
