1More Evo Wireless Headphones Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The 1MORE EVO Noise Canceling Earbuds are available on Amazon now, but as I said before, while they have an MSRP of £129.99 they’re almost always on sale. At the time of writing they were £85, and now with a ninja edit, at the time of publishing this review they’re £95, so who knows how much they’ll be tomorrow or next week!

Overview

1More has been on the scene for a good few years now, and when they launched, they took the market by storm with class-leading products that had all the features of the big names, but in most cases, with superior build quality, design and significantly more affordable prices too. The market seems even more competitive these days though, especially in the mobile sector where seemingly every brand from £20 Chinese imports to the titans like Samsung, Sony and countless others all seem to be promising largely the same features.

However, time and time again I’ve tested 1More and their claims of high-end audio and features have turned out 100% true, which most certainly is not the case on those too-good-to-be-true cheaper brands on Amazon. 1More use a premium 10mm dynamic driver with a balanced armature, allowing them to deliver crystal clear sound at all volume levels, no matter what sort of material you’re listening to. Sure, they cost a bit more money, but you get what you pay for.

Their battery life is fantastic too, and I’ve often found myself exceeding 30 hours on a single charge, which is above what they’re rated for, so really I can’t complain. I’ve had times where I’ve listened to audiobooks for 5-6 hours straight and never even had a low battery warning on the earbuds, again way above what they’re rated for.

For phone calls, they’re bright and clear, and the microphones work fantastic for me buzzing around the office or out for a walk. Actually, the wind noise reduction works fantastic on the microphone, or so I’m told by the people I’m calling. However, as I said, it’s not great at wind reduction on the ANC for audio.

Should I Buy One?

With their compact charging case, they’re great for your commute or use at home. The drivers are powerful, with some of the best sound quality in this price class, and backed up by a range of audio enhancements such as Hi-Res Audio and LDAC support. Best of all though, they have fantastic battery life, making them very well-suited to long listening sessions and lengthy train journeys or flights. Highly recommended!
