How Much Does it Cost?

With an MSRP of £199.99, they’re certainly aimed at the audio enthusiast. Or, perhaps those with a larger than average wallet. Either way, they’re pretty expensive. However, that doesn’t mean to say they’re overpriced. If anything, I think the price is pretty competitive given the features on offer; let alone the class-leading performance they’ve delivered. With all the extra bits in the box, 1MORE have put the effort in. They can command that price tag without feeling like they’re being cheeky because they’re not. They’re currently £171.36 on Amazon and available in black, silver and gold variants. Get em while they’re relatively cheaper!

Overview

I test a lot of headphones and headsets. No doubt a few hundred under my belt after all these years! Yet I’m still amazed how much progress is being made year on year. If these were over-ear drivers, they would be easier to compute. However, to deliver the performance they did in such a small form factor? That’s nothing short of incredible. Bass this big? Mid’s this detailed? And treble that clear? This just isn’t expected from in-ears.

THX Certified

The THX certification isn’t just thrown out at anyone with a chequebook. It’s a tough credit to get and you need to meet the full criteria to ensure your speakers, headphones, home cinema, whatever, can reproduce the clarity and power that THX demands. The fact that 1MORE made the first in-ears to get this certification speaks volumes for their engineering abilities.

Hi-Res Certified

Again, with the full-range drivers offering up 20 to 40000 Hz, they’ve no issues keeping up with the increased quality you’ll find with Hi-Res audio files. For that listening to FLAC files, or any of the other high-end audio formats, or even just some sweet analogue systems, such as Vinyl, you’ll not be left wanting more.

Should I Buy One?

You’ve got to take your audio pretty seriously to even consider a set of headphones like this. However, if you’re looking for something with class-leading build quality, flawless audio, and a stylish design, you can do no wrong with 1MORE.
