There are a lot of people investing in air fryers these days, myself included because they’re great! But I recently got hooked by a different beast, the COSORI rice cooker! Like many of the kitchen gadgets on the market these days, it’s got quite a few tricks packed into it, with a steamer, slow cooker, and more, it can make rice, soups, cakes, and sauces too. With Christmas right around the corner, having something that frees up some cooker space, and keeps the food warm until it’s needed is perfect!

One of the most appealing aspects is that it’s actually quite a compact unit, so easy to keep on the worktop or in a cupboard, but it has a large interior too, able to hold up to 5 litres, it’s well suited to our family of four plus the occasional guest for dinner.

It comes with its own set of durable plastic utensils and measuring cup, as well as a removable steamer/rice insert. However, you can lift that out and it’s a more traditional slow cooker pot under that.

The 17-in-1 functions are awesome too, with an easy to use touch interface on the front, it takes all the complexity out of what you want to make, just tap the items you need, set the time and go.

I like the delay timer too, it means I can prep something early and have it ready when I’m done elsewhere in the kitchen.
