be quiet! Dark Power Pro 13 1600W
The Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 13 1600W is an eye-watering £429.95 right now. That is a lot, but keep in mind, this is the most overbuilt, high-end and most powerful PSU we’ve ever had the pleasure of testing here at eTeknix, and really, I have had nothing in the office that can rival it in any regard. If you want the best of the best, this is it, and that’s what it costs!
Perfect for the ultimate extreme PC build and enthusiast overlockers.
Corsair RM1000e 1000W
The Corsair RM1000e Fully Modular Low-Noise ATX Power Supply is available now on Amazon for just £169.99 MSRP. However, it’s often on sale at a little bit less than that, currently sitting at just £152.95. That’s in line with similar 1000W units on the market, but given the overall performance and voltage stability, Corsair are certainly something of a leader in this price bracket.
Perfect for high-end gaming PC builds.
MSI MAG A1000G 1000W
The MPG A1000G PCIE5 Power Supply is available now from Amazon for a very reasonable £159.99. However, as I said before, it’s most certainly the better looking of the bunch, with a really nice design despite being just as, if not more than capable of many power supplies that are a similar price.
Perfect for high-end gaming PCs with style.
Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1200W
The Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 Snow 1200-watt full-modular PCIE Gen 5 ATX 3.0 80+ Gold PSU is available now from Scan for a very reasonable £199.98, which seems pretty reasonable given the price-to-power scaling from the 1000W units we’ve taken a look at. However, keep an eye out, as I have seen this unit go on various sales and even for as little as £159.99 at times!
Perfect for high-load gaming PCs and content-creation workstations.
