2TB USB 3.0 drive from Transcend

The memory making company Transcend has reportedly been showing off a 2TB USB 3.0 drive in Taiwan over the past weekend. The drive is very thin and like most other USB pen drives except a tad on the longer side. However, the engineers at Transcend have managed to get 2TB of storage via USB 3.0 on this tiny USB device: a very impressive feat of engineering.

As far as availability is concerned you will have to wait a few months. Transcend has stated that these drives are in the early phase of production and everything still needs to be standardised. Also the new range of USB drives that contains this 2TB beast will have smaller versions. The range starts at 16GB and goes all the way up to 2TB. No word on the price, probably best kept that way, don’t expect them to be at all cheap.
