As the sales embargo lifted for the RTX 4060 Ti in Japan people queued up for miles to gaze upon this graphics card which definitely has fantastic value and performance.
4060 Ti Not Quite Rushing Out of The Door
Unfortunately, that was an alternate reality and in this reality the card isn’t exactly favourable to the community. Over in Japan at the Dospara Akihabara Main store, only one person showed up to purchase this card. A photo of the lone buyer was shared on Twitter by @hermita_akiba (via VideoCardz) showing the dire situation these cards have launched under as well as their 69,800 Yen asking price (£404). This price is slightly larger than the MSRPs here and in the US thanks to the higher sales taxes in Japan which are definitely not helping with the poor sales over there.
On the other side of the planet in Germany, 3DCenter.org has reported that the price of the 4060 Ti in various German stores has already been discounted with the Palit 4060 Ti card on mindfactory already dropping down to €419, €20 less than the €439 MSRP.
Not Surprising at All
It’s very clear that consumers are not happy with NVIDIA’s 40 series making it entirely unsurprising that people are not buying this graphics card, it is quite funny to watch though. The good thing about this is that it is your money and you can just buy AMD or even Intel depending on what GPU you already own as you may not even need an upgrade.
