6 New Boards On The Horizon From MSI for Intel’s 5th Gen Chipset

MSI Gaming 3
Alongside the flagship Gaming 9 AC and the compact ITX boards, MSI will also be bringing three mainstream boards to market with a more modest set of features at the low end with additional features being added on as we go up through the stack. All three boards will feature the 5th Gen chipset and Hxx versions will also be available with differing Intel based features which we are yet to hear about.
The entry level Gaming 3 will feature the following:
- 6 Phase power through 8-pin PCIe header
- Four DIMM slots for upto 64GB 26666MHz DDR3
- 4x SATA 6GB/s
- Audio Boost 2
- 2x PCIe3.0 x16
- 2x PCIe3.0 x1
- 3x legacy PCI
- M.2 SSD compatibility
- Military Class IV Components
MSI Gaming 5
In addition to the features that are found on the Gaming 3, the Gaming 5 will offer the following:
- 8-Phase power through 8-Pin PCIe header
- 3x PCIe 3.0 x16
- 4x PCIe 3.0 x1
- 6x SATA 6GB/s
- Native USB3.0 header
MSI Gaming 7
As the top board in the mid-range series of boards, the Gaming 7 will feature the following above the Gaming 5:
- 12-Phase power through 8-Pin PCIe header
- V-Check Points 2
- OC Engine switches
- 8x SATA 6GB/s
