Earlier this year we had news that YouTube would be introducing 60 frames-per-second (FPS) video. This is a very big deal for many channels on YouTube, especially those who love to stream gaming content.
There are a few requirements to be able to use the new features. First you will need Google Chrome to watch 60FPS YouTube videos and you need enough speed to watch them in HD; such as 720p or 1080p. Keep in mind that doubling the FPS from 30 to 60 is more demanding on your bandwidth.
The difference is absolutely staggering, just look at the difference on the video below for a nice demonstration. Be sure to watch it at normal and then switch to 60FPS to see the difference.
I wonder if anyone at Ubisoft has seen this feature yet…
