During this morning’s official presentation of the Nintendo Switch, the Japanese company unveiled a host of forthcoming games for the platform. According to Nintendo, 80 games are currently in development for the Switch. We take a look at some of the most exciting titles.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
While Breath of the Wild was announced prior to today’s event, Nintendo has confirmed that the game will be Switch launch title, which is great news considering rumours that the game might be delayed:
Super Mario Odyssey

A party game that takes advantage of the Switch’s Joy Con motion controllers, 1-2 Switch features two-player quickdrawing, boxing, fencing, and various sports:
Arms
A 3D arena boxing/shooting game, again using the Switch’s motion controls, Arms can be played locally or online:
Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
An update of the Wii U title – arguably the best Mario Kart ever made – which adds a proper battle mode and characters from Splatoon:
Splatoon 2
A proper sequel to Nintendo’s Wii U sleeper hit, Splatoon looks like more of the same paint-based shooting, which is far from a bad thing:
Fire Emblem Warriors

Xenoblade Chronicles 2
A sequel to 2013’s Xenoblade Chronicles, this RPG introduces a new cast of characters to a number of familiar locales:
