For those of you tired of remakes and modern graphics, how about you step back in time and check out this Dead Space Demake.
A developer by the name of Fraser Brumley on Itch.io has released a PS1-styled remake of the recently remade Dead Space. The project allows for you to take on the horrors in dead space with the aesthetic of classic PS1 games which if anything makes it all the more terrifying. Brumley claims that they’ve been working on this project for a lot longer than expected and was mostly a way for them to learn unreal and the PS1 Aesthetic.
You’ve played Dead Space (2008) and you’ve played Dead Space (2023) it’s time to soak in the horrid vibes of Dead Space (1998)
This demake is available entirely free of charge on Itch.io and features a simple download.
We’ve seen plenty of demakes like this before with Portal, Resident Evil 7 and even CyberPunk 2077 and its likely we will see more as Brumley stated that they “look forward to what I’ll be putting together in the future.”
