A new fanless compact PC from Shuttle

The European subsidiary of Shuttle Inc., a world renowned compact PC manufacturer, has announced an update in its product line, more precisely a Version 2 of the XS35.

Just as the first edition, the V2 will still be more energy efficient and will run virtually silently. The fanless design allows it to be placed where ever you like without having a source of unwanted noise, moreover, it’s slim profile allows it to take very little space.

The V2 comes in two different version, both equipped with an Atom D525 processor, providing enough processing power, the XS35V2 Barebone comes with integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics while the XS35GTV2 Barebone comes with nVidia’s Next-Generation ION graphics for full HD playback in 1080p.

“With the new model we’re banking on the proven and further improved which had already been good”, says Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. “But basically every XS35 model is fanless and offers 5x USB, WLAN, LAN, sound, card reader and Kensington Lock.”

Buyers can expect a faster D525 processor and enhanced memory support of up to 4GB DDR3. The XS35V2 is guaranteed to provide whisper-quiet operation while keeping power consumption low.

The XS35V2 is now available for £133.98 at Scan and $169.99 at Newegg while the XS35GTV2 is for $229.99 at Newegg.
