It looks like Microsoft and Telltale have come together for a rather intriguing offer. The first five episodes of Minecraft: Story Mode are actually available for free via the Windows Store. The trick is, in order to be able to finish the story, you’ll have to buy an Adventure Pass for episodes 6 to 8. Still, that’s not too bad of a deal considering the amount of content that you’re getting for free. Just in case you’re not familiar with the series, this Minecraft adventure will take you on an engaging journey in the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond.
If you’re running an older operating system, you might not be able to benefit from this offer. Some users have reported that they were unable to download the game on Windows 8.1, for example. Another problem I see with this deal is that it is exclusively available through the Windows Store. Some users have decided to stop using this service altogether, and as such, they’ll probably miss out on a decent game.
The offer is good for another seven days, by the way. Moreover, the Adventure Pass that we mentioned before costs just $4 at the time of writing.
