Unless you’ve been off grid, you’ve probably heard of Palworld, the Ark Survival Evolved clone which features Pokémon inspired designs. Well this game has taken the internet by storm topping the Steam charts and just days after its release, a mod that replaces the Pals with Pokémon has already been made.
A mod for Palworld which replaces the Pals with Pokémon has been shared by ToastedShoes, an Australian Youtuber known for ruining peoples childhoods by brutally beating some of your favourite cartoon characters in Mortal Kombat. Well this time ToastedShoes is doing what he’s best at by implementing actual Pokémon into Palworld. A tweet was posted sharing a teaser for the mod which will be releasing tomorrow alongside a video on the subject.
Brutally beating the copied and altered Pal designs was already bad enough, but beating the iconic childhood Pokémon we all know and love, that changes things a bit.
I’ve been enjoying the game so far which is surprising considering I hate Ark Survival Evolved. Its simple to get into, the mechanics are easy enough to understand, and it runs smoothly with minimal bugs, at least in my short 4 hours of gameplay. I know the game is a bit lazy in its theme and design, plus it probably used a lot of AI generation, which is a bit of a grey area that I don’t really like, but I’m enjoying it and that’s all that matters. I wonder how long it will take Nintendo to find something that they can sue.
