Acer today has announced its new refreshed Swift Edge 16 powered by the latest AMD Ryzen 7040 series processors and boasting compatibility with Wi-Fi 7.
The Swift Edge is a laptop designed for professionals who require high computing capability, productivity and portability from their hardware. The laptop features a stunning 16-inch 3.2K OLED display with an upgraded refresh rate of 120 Hz and a full 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7040 series processor with up to AMD Radeon 780M graphics and uses Windows 11.
The Swift Edge 16 exudes confidence with its eye-catching design frame and colour display capabilities which are sure to make heads turn. The chassis is made of an ultra-thin and light magnesium alloy measuring 12.95mm and weighing just 1.23kg and finished with a sleek olivine black coating. The 16″ OLED display with a 3200×2000 resolution provides stunning images with 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut support, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 500 nits peak brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
Taking full advantage of the latest AMD Ryzen 7040 processors provides high performance and good power efficiency keeping the laptop running for longer on its battery. The laptop features AMD Ryzen AI with select processors ushering in new AI experiences such as real-time video quality enhancements for video calls. Paired up with this processor is up to 32GB of LPDDR5 ram and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage all cooled by the TwinAir cooling technology keeping the laptop running at full speed. For added protection, the Microsoft Pluton security processor ensures you are safe against sophisticated attacks and the fingerprint reader helps keep your laptop locked down.
The latest version of the Swift Edge comes wiht support for Wi-Fi 7 technology boasting enhanced speeds of up to 5.8 Gbps, low latency of under 2m and multi-link capability for fast and reliable wireless connections. Alongside this, the Swift Edge 16 also features a variety of smart features to help boost productivity and ease of use. Users can present themselves in the best light for video conferences with the built in 1440p QHD webcam which can be further enhanced through Window Studio Effects. This webcam features auto framing, gaze correction and advanced background blur. The laptop also features a mic which is assisted by Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction and Acer PurifiedVoice AI noise reduction technologies for elevated video call experiences. It also includes a full-sized keyboard and a range of essential connectivity ports; two USB Type-A ports, dual USB 4 Type-C PD 65 W ports with fast charging and display capabilities, HDMI 2.1, and a Micro SD card reader.
The Swift Edge 16 (SFE16-43) will be available in North America in July, starting at USD 1,299.99, and in EMEA in July, starting at EUR 1,199.
