Acer has been treating its fans with a lot of goodies lately, and apart from the awesome curved G-Sync display that it announced a little while back, it also showcased a few impressive mobile devices. The Switch 10 hybrid tablet is perhaps the most noteworthy, as it comes with great built quality and decent performance capabilities for its price. Powered by an Intel quad-core Atom processor, the device boasts a 10″ 1920×1200 display and runs on Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 OS.
The IPS display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which ensures adequate scratch resistance while reducing the visibility of existing scratches. The Switch 10 is complemented by a docking keyboard, which gives it a plus of practicality and allows it to function similarly to a small laptop. When it comes to memory and storage, the tablet features 32GB or 64GB of eMMC storage as well as 2GB of RAM. The Switch 10 gets its juice from a 22Wh battery, which is supposed to ensure about seven hours of intense computing.
Unfortunately, Acer did not release any information regarding the exact model of Atom processor that will be powering the device. However, we do know that the product will feature a price tag of $399, keyboard dock included. The Switch 10 by Acer will start shipping in August. Let us know what you think about it!
