There’s a lot of great new storage and memory hear at Computex 2024, with much of the best being manufactured under official licence by BiWin, who also make Predator, HP and a few other flagship brands hardware! So it’s no surprise to see even more great drives on show from BiWin at our meeting with ACER. First up is the MA200, a mini PCIe SSD design which comes in both 512GB and 1TB capacities, and despite the small size, it can still deliver 5200 MB/s read and 4700 MB/s write using PCIe Gen 4 x4 and NVMe 1.4 technologies.
Obviously, it’s compact size makes it well suited to portable gaming systems, but also for notebooks, laptops and other small form factor system implementations.
The new FA200 is a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD, using PCIe Gen 4 x 4 and NVMe 2.0, which means it tops out at 7200 MB/s read and 6200 MB/s write, and should prove to be a popular solution for those wanting fast speeds on a tighter budget. It’ll be available in 500GB up to 4TB too, so there should be something for everyone here.
