The Acer ProDesigner PE320QK monitor was announced back in April, but is now available for purchase. The PE320QK is an IPS monitor featuring 4K Ultra-HD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) ideal ofr photographers and video editors. The ProDesigner PE320QK monitor produces accurate colors with a low Delta E less than 1, supporting 130% of the sRGB and 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Color accuracy is important for professionals since what is often seen on screen has to match what it is on print. Non-IPS panels are sorely lacking in this regard.
The ProDesigner PE320QK provides 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles. Plus, the built-in stand is height adjustable up to 115.05mm, and it tilts down 5-degrees and can tilt up to 20-degrees. The frames are also substantially thin, plus users can put the optional doors on the side to block any light bleed from interfering with the display. The thin bezel design also lends itself quite well to having a multi-monitor setup. The PE320QK also has built-in 2x 4W stereo speakers.
In terms of connectivity, there is a DisplayPort and an HDMI port available. There are also 5x USB 3.1 ports. The monitor already comes with one of each cable type, so it is ready to use right out of the box. Plus, the power cable of course.
Like all professional monitors, the Acer ProDesigner PE320QK does not come cheap. Acer’s website currently lists it at $1199.99 and it is now available worldwide through Acer’s partner resellers. This is not to be confused with the BM320 4K UHD monitor which Acer also announced back in April. The BM320 has USB 3.0 Type-A ports, while the PE320QK has USB 3.1 Type-C ports.
