Acer announced a new addition to its PC offers, the Aspire ZC-605 Windows 8 All-in-One PC. This 19.5″ display PC is available from Tuesday, 1st of October, and ” is an excellent choice for those wanting to try an all-in-one for the first time,” said Frank Chang, director of desktop product management for Acer America. He also added that “Its sleek and compact size, low price and solid configuration make it ideal for those desiring a basic PC for researching recipes, online shopping and enjoying social media.”
In terms of specs, the Aspire ZC-605 comes with a Active Matrix TFT Color LCD with LED backlight technology touch screen with a resolution of up to 1600 x 900 pixels, an Intel Celeron 1007U Dual-Core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM with the option to expand it to 16 GB and a 500 GB SATA/300 hard drive. In addition to the performance spec, it also comes with a Wireless 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity technology.
Also the new AIO PC provides a 1MP webcam with 720p video that can be adjusted up to 30 degrees, a built-in single array microphone, and a number of inputs on the front panel including a 2-in-1 card reader, USB 3.0, an on-screen display button and the audio jacks. On the back are two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, audio output and HDMI output.
The Acer ZC-605 will ship pre-installed with the Windows 8 64-bit version and a price set to this All-in-One PC is around $599 ( £368 ).
