Acer’s first AMD C-60 powered Aspire One now available

Acer’s Aspire One 522 netbook was originally released in January, but was equipped with AMD APUs less power-efficient than the update model which sees itself fitted with the low-power C-60 APU.

Featuring two x86-64 core clocked at 1 GHz with TurboCore boosting it up to 1.33 GHz, a Radeon HD 6290 takes care of the graphics with a core running at 276 MHz, and up to 400 MHz with TurboCore.

The Aspire One 522 is a 10.1” netbook fitted with a LED-backlit screen with a resolution of up to 1280×720, 1GB of DDR3 memory for the APU and a storage capacity of 320 GB. Featuring a web-cam as well as the basics for connectivity you get 10/100 Ethernet, Wi-fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 as well as a 5-in1 card reader. As for output port, you get a D-Sub as well as HDMI connection. The power is obtained from the 6-cell battery.

The Aspire One 522 netbook is now available in Europe for €279 and comes with Windows 7 Starter pre-installed.
