Cooling manufacturer Alphacool introduces the AlphaCord sleeved cable system with optional Eiskamm Alu cable combs. The company is no stranger to case modding, with some cool systems on display at their Computex 2017 booth. Water-cooling and PC customization go hand-in-hand, so it is only natural that they chose to expand with new modding products.
Just like they had on display at Computex, the Alphacool Alphacord is available in a variety of colors. This includes:
These sleeves use Paracord 550 Type 3 and are available in 3.3 meter (10mm diameter) length for 3.49 EUR each. Paracord is ideal for “shrinkless” sleeving and is more supple than plastic sleeves.
The perfect partner for cables made with AlphaCord sleeving is the new Eiskamm Alu Cable combs. These are available in aluminum with four anodized color options: red, black, blue, and silver, which easily slips in before the terminal. Any custom cable system could use cable combs in order to keep the cables organized, or else there it will overlap.
The Eiskamm is available in a variety of sizes as well. However, it depends on the cable configuration. The 24-pin connector needs an Eiskamm Alu comb with twelve loops at the top and twelve loops at the bottom for example. A comb for a video card 6-pin or 8-pin cable is much smaller in comparison.
In terms of price, the Eiskamm Alu ranges from 4.59 EUR to 9.59 EUR with VAT included. Alphacool also sells the regular Eiskamm nylon combs which are open-ended.
For those new to sleeving, Alphacool has a paracord primer guide on their YouTube channel. This lets users see how to customize their build via sleeving materials.
Users can now order these items at aquatuning.de in Europe, as well as ModMyMods.com in the United States.
