Last year, Activision bought the Black Ops domains up to Black Ops 6, and has just recently purchased blackops.2.com.
Given the success and release style of the Call of Duty series, along with the registering of these domains, it seems highly likely that we’ll be seeing a Black Ops 2 this year, with many more to come over the following years.
Black Ops was also the most searched gaming term of 2011 on Google, above Call of Duty and Modern Warfare 3.
For a bit of humor, www.modernwarfare4.com has also been purchased, but not by Activision. You can read the owners funny FAQ on the site.
