Activision Confirms Warzone’s New Pacific Map Has Been Delayed!

Call of Duty Warzone has arguably represented one of gaming’s biggest hits since its release back in early 2020. With the same map effectively being peddled for the last 18-months (albeit with a few changes here and there), however, fans were clearly looking forward to the release of the new ‘Pacific’ update. With it originally set to release on December 2nd, however, following a report via Eurogamer, Activision has confirmed that this has now been delayed for (basically) a week!
Update: Season 1 of #Vanguard and Warzone Pacific will now release Dec. 8.

Call of Duty Warzone Pacific Delayed!
No specific reason for the delay has been cited by Activision, but a highly compelling theory is that work on the update has been pushed back due to the continued internal conflict at the company. Without going into too much detail over the allegations, it’s understood that around 1,700 Activision/Blizzard employees have signed a petition calling for the company CEO Bobby Kotick to resign.
With so many employees unhappy, therefore, it is being suggested that work on the Warzone Pacific update may, deliberately or otherwise, be taking a lot longer than anticipated.
New Release Date
Presuming everything goes to plan, as per the Twitter post above, the Call of Duty Warzone Pacific update (along with Season 1 of Vanguard) should be released on December 8th. – While the news will clearly be disappointing for those looking forward to the new battle royale map, you do at least have another week to enjoy Verdansk before, presumably, everyone finds the best new camping spots in Pacific.
