Aside from releasing several products for the XPG gaming line, ADATA also unveiled several industrial-grade solutions at Computex. This includes the IM2P3388 M.2 solid state drive. The IM2P3388 uses an M.2 2280 form factor (22mm wide, 80mm long) and is NVMe 1.2 qualified. It uses a PCIe Gen3x4 interface for fast transfer rates up to 2500MB/s read and 1100MB/s write. It uses 3D MLC NAND flash with a Silicon Motion storage controller. The IM2P3388 is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB capacities for commercial or industrial use.
The “industrial-grade” label refers to the drives durability and resistance. One model is tailored for commercial applications and has an operating temperature range of -10C to 80C. The industrial model resists cold temperatures as low as -40C and can withstand up to 90C. Both have a shock resistance of 1500G/0.5ms (half sine wave), as well as a vibration resistance of 20G (10-2000Hz). The drive also complies with JEDEC specifications and low-power industrial application use, consuming only 4.8W max.
For management, the IM2P3388 is compatible with ADATA’s SSD Toolbox software. This solution can read the S.M.A.R.T. data integrity, provides system optimization, firmware update and more.
