ADT Add Alexa Support With Latest Home Security Systems at CES 2017

CES 2017 has been a big deal for smart home and IoT devices this year, so we’re not surprised to see the long-established ADT alarm company going with the market and investing in smart home connected hardware. On display they’ve got their new smart locks, IoT enabled control panel, security cameras, sensors and more. What’s new is that these devices now have Alexa support, so instead of fumbling about with key pads, you can set your alarm and even turn it off using voice passwords and pin numbers “Alexa set alarm with pin 2 1 4 5” for example. On top of that, the smart locks work via voice too. Just say “Alexa, lock the front door” and you’re set to go. Of course, with IFTTT and other smart home hardware, there’s many ways you can automate and trigger these commands too.
