Aerocool Mechatron White Edition Mid-Tower Chassis Review

So overall a really strong effort from Aerocool and a chassis that is definitely a winner in the style department. Now of course this style isn’t going to be to everyone’s taste, but the mixture of a high quality white finish both inside and outside the chassis, black mesh on the front panel, extreme cut angles and blue LED lighting has me sold on this one.

While top top part of the chassis could have been cut from slightly thicker metal in my opinion, as it does flex a little more than it should, but once everything is installed and its by your desk its no longer an issue. Other than that build quality is excellent. There were no squeaks, rattles and no bits falling off that shouldn’t. So a bit win for Aerocool on both style and build quality.

The same can be said about the feature list too, with plenty of room for storage, optical drives, multi GPU sets and even out rather chunky Antec 920 water cooling block, this chassis is more than like to meet the demands of many gamers. But even if your current rig or new build isn’t going to be breaking any record and you’re looking to build a modest system, there is no reason why it has to look modest. Which is what I love about this design, its pretty extreme looking no matter what you install inside it.

Next up is the price. Which after a quick search online you can find this white edition for anywhere between £70-80 which isn’t exactly cheap but when you compare other similar specification chassis the Mechatron is priced just right to compete with similar chassis from a few rival companies.

So in the end it’s another solid outing from Aerocool, I’m happy with the performance, the style, build quality specifications and the price isn’t too bad either. I could quite happily order one for myself right now and it’s reasons like this, that make me happy to award it with our Editors Choice Award.
