Aerocool Xpredator Evil Black Edition Full-Tower Gaming Chassis Review

With the chassis out of the box, the design makes a big first impression, as you can see the design is bold, with lots of black and orange really helping to make this thing stand out. A mix of sharp angles and a custom shape side panel window and plenty of grilled ventilation slots all cater for extra cooling and air flow.

Taking a look at the front we can see there are a whole host of features on offer, starting with the control panel at the top, with the orange padded area for keeping flashpens, screws and other bits of junk to hand. A well featured input / output panel, with USB 3.0, e-SATA, USB 2.0 and headset sockets as well as a pair of fan control dials. Further down we have a removable panel for a card reader or similar device and space for a further 5 x 5.25″ drives below that.

The rear side of the chassis has a much cleaner design, with a solid side panel. The most interesting thing you can see here though are the top ventilation slots, which are currently closed, but take a look at the next picture to see what I mean.

A handy slider on the top of the chassis can be moved, which opens the top ventilation slots on the chassis, giving you a huge amount of extra airflow to the chassis.

Around the back, we can see there are 4 x cable / watercooling routing cutouts, fitted with rubber grommets, a recessed fan grill which supports 120mm and 140mm fans and a full set of ventilated covers on the 10 x expansion slots. Keeping with the cooling theme you will also notice a full line of ventilation holds down the left side of the chassis giving a little airflow to behind the motherboard backplate and 3 x rectangle grills to the right of the expansion slots.
