Today Serif software announced the release of the biggest update yet to the Affinity Photo imaging application, version 1.5. From its early stages, Affinity Photo seemed to have what it takes to catch up with Adobe’s PhotoShop and Phase One’s Capture One Pro and become a real contender in the professional photography and image manipulation software category.
Today’s update brings a whole lot of new features and enhancements. Let’s take a brief look at the new features list:

Apart from the new features several already existing features received an overhaul, like:
- The Lens Profiles database received new entries, now includes thousands of Lens & Camera body combinations for automated lens correction
- File compatibility improvements to both PDF and PSD import/export
- Improved Metadata handling
- Improved RAW file processing
- Improved Vectorscope
- Pixel Tool improvements
- Huge snapping improvements
