Specifications, Power Draw, and Packaging
Hardware Specifications
The specifications are taken directly from the manufacturer and might as such be subject to possible future changes or revisions. The specifications applied at the time of review.
Software Specifications
The Software specification will change regularly as the operating system is updated. But those are improvements. For example, these are still the QTS 4.2 listings and QTS 4.3.3 has a lot of advancements in comparison.
All-in-One Server Features
The QNAP NAS also features a lot of native apps, managed and controlled by QNAP. They will offer you the following features, but more third-party options can be added.
The Packaging
QNAP ship their NAS in a simple package, and I live that for a NAS unit. It’s better for the environment than a full-colour printed box and there really is no need for more. The sticker has all the details you’ll want, from a photo of the unit to the hardware specifications and feature highlights.
The Accessories
Inside the box is a Quick Installation Guide along with all the screws you might need. There are screws for 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives, so you’re covered.
You’ll also need to connect the NAS to your network and QNAP included two RJ45 Cat 5e cables to do so.
You can’t run a NAS without power and that’s covered by an external power supply. The included power cable will fit the region you purchased it. In this case, it’s the UK version.
