AGON by AOC has revealed two new ultrawide gaming monitors featuring fast 144Hz and 180Hz refresh rates providing a fast gaming experience with the immersion of a curved ultrawide display.
These two monitors are both 34″ Ultrawide displays with a 1500R curved 3440×1440 resolution. Both monitors feature differing refresh rates as the CU34G2XE/BK (XE) features a 144Hz refresh rate whilst the CU34G32XP/BK (XP) features a larger 180Hz refresh rate, both feature a 1ms response time MPRT for the XE and GTG for the XP. There are differing V-Sync technologies in use here as well as the XE uses Adaptive-Sync and the XP makes use of FreeSync Premium providing a tear free experience. Both also feature different HDR ratings with the XE using HDR10 and the XP using the lesser HDR400.
Beyond the display the monitors are simply just monitors and don’t feature any USB Hub, KVM Switches or other bells and whistles, they just feature DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports. AOC’s Bespoke G-Menu software however provides several additional controls for the monitor.
For comfort the display features Low Blue Mode and anti-flicker technology as well as an adjustable stand which features height, tilt and swivel adjustments. This stand also features a cable management hole allowing you to keep your desk a bit tidier.
The AOC GAMING CU34G2XE/BK with 144 Hz will be available for purchase from December 2023, at an MSRP of £299, while its sibling CU34G2XP/BK with 180 Hz will be available from mid-December 2023, at an MSRP of £339.
