Packaging

On the face of it it seems to be quite a simple and standard looking box, it is fairly square (although not quite) and is made out of quite a rigid cardboard giving good strength and rigidity to the product.
From the front we can see the Akasa logo in the top right, the title DuoDock 2S’ and a few simple features are listed. At the bottom are 3 logos for quick reference, including the sleek USB 3.0 logo and two more reminding you that it is designed for both 2.5 and 3.5 SATA drives and theoretically could give up to 5 gigabits per second transfer rate. There is of course a nice image with two 3.5 hard drives in place and with the ghost outlines of the closer Hard Drive being placed into the dock.
On the remaining 3 sides of the box are the features and specifications which are given in 5 different languages. There is one side (the back) devoted to English which allows for a contents list as well as two labeled diagrams and a graph to show the data read speed.
On the top of the box is a very simple title and statement about the product.
Contents

Opening up the box leads us to find a box; which is not labelled. This happens to be only about 1/3 of the depth of the main box, and contains the USB cable, the power cable and the user manual.
The USB cable is of course specific to USB 3.0 and so has a blue inside to the connector. The power cable is a standard 12V DC connector.
The User Manual comprises of the features and specifications in various languages and a very short getting started section, although it is quite self-explanatory.
