Akasa FC-Trio Fan Controller Review

InstallationInstallation of the fan controller itself is straightforward for anybody who has had previous experience with a 5.25” drive. Just remove the 5.25” bay cover from your case, insert the FC. Trio and screw it securely in place.

The final part of installation involves connecting the fans, power connector and placing the temperature sensors in your desired locations. We chose to install one of the sensors in the groove of our CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus CPU cooler to show that the sensors can fit easily in even the most remote and awkward locations.

We did run into a problem when using the FC. Trio with our NZXT Phantom case. The fan control knobs extend far enough past the 5.25” bay to interfere with the Phantom’s door. It was actually impossible to fully close the door.
